The Snowy Owl (Poem)

Image
Snowy Owl Hey Snow Owl I see you've taken flight To only Where only you go A lovely little place Icy and snow Have you seen the eternal winter Cover us whole Circling at 90 ° N What was a pathless flight Turned In search of what lies at the ends of the earth These Gallivant Souls  Travel from heaven to hell   Just to notify us what truth lies on each side  Nomads in blizzards From times of old Glowing yellow and orange Your eyes are portals to the infinite Adept to see in range Blind to necessities in front of your face On this search have you found What lies behind our sensors Past the images projected onto the cave    of our skulls From the darkness inside Have you found the soul? Hey Snow Owl Illusions of time and reality can you reveal to me I want to feel the circling winds of the North in full force as you do Oh how I wish to be free Abandon all notion of concepts in motion Together we can dream all our life'

Go Back To Sleep (Poem)

Image
Go Back To Sleep I'm scared I woke up But I wish I could go back to sleep So that is what I did just for another hour or two When I get up I don't know where to start But my mind already has Throughout the day the same thoughts race through my head The impending doom that awaits is already here The hourglass bottom is becoming full Every moment is filled with fear Talking to people in disconnection Do they know what I am thinking? Here comes another wave of thought Corporations, Institutions, conceptualization and mind control Our entire lives has been fabricated We don't even know what it means to know Fed poison food Breed disease in pools You are crazy You are crazy if you think its gonna be ok The repetition get up make money eat sleep It's all programmed There is something wrong here I shouldn't be remembering the future Love? Compassion? Is it still real? Its getting late Paranoia sets in Seein

Out Of Sight (song)

Image
Out Of Sight I've been awake For awhile now Have nothing else to write Well and that morning fell like raindrops that tell That you fell out of sight It's been a year do you still remember me When I held you so tight Well you took it all and crushed it with such ease Left me no place to hide But that's the way it ought to be That's the way it's gonna stay  That's the way its gonna stay There were times with such distance in my mind But now it is right Down it sinks in me You are gone Du du du du du du du Saw my first shooting star  yes you are I'm gonna die young or  grow old alone Your gone Your gone I wallow every single day Well but I love you  its true I fade away  It's true I fade away I fade away Down It's sinks in me You are gone Du du du du du If you were here  for one day I'd see I'd live my life in one night If you were here  for one day I'd keep  kiss you o

The Mystery Of The Ages (poem)

Image
The Mystery Of The Ages The mystery of the ages will always be the obvious To chase a feather in the wind over a river filled with summer rain All that's left are fragments of a feeling And the memory of a place where magic is still real As is all that we long for winding down the road Photo taken in Salinas CA after a day spent with good friends  Fall 2016

Is He Mad (poem)

Image
Is He Mad Will he be found when he is gone? With all eyes focused towards him He can't help but do the same Is he mad? For everywhere he goes He sees words and speaks with eyes .... No one ever told us about the dangers of looking inward Jumping off the rocks near Lover's Point Park Photo taken sometime in early September

Last Talk (poem)

Image
Last Talk It is as if a bridge has reconnected childhood past and present here with you Looking around and seeing everyone with the same connection Simple childhood memories Our first cuts, our first birthdays, our first bliss Ya know? The ones that take us to the wonderland How long is forever here? Well the white rabbit says "sometimes just one second" Looking in your eyes plunging into windy fall afternoons Running after the other kids in the big backyard Letting go as all children do so well Your a feather in the wind stopping by to say hello Your home is hallowed Your backyard a sanctuary Still running in the wind Ring around the Rosie, ashes, ashes we all fall down Not a memory out of sight Drifting, drifting, drifting it seems through a lifetime of yours and mine to be I still remember the story grandpa When the last leaf falls of that tree I will paint one on so you will forever Life is but a memory You give to me a thousan

Although It Seems Not (poem)

Image
Although It Seems Not You stand out amongst the crowds A tear falls solemnly for I am your ground Although it seems not I gave you much thought Your face reminds me of the beauty I forgot Your walk aligns itself with the ticking of time Your words are telling of the significance of life Your pain waters seeds of compassion in me You make me wonder if we are truly subjected to just mortality Picture taken 9/14/17 at Asilomar beach after a sunset conversation with older friends and fellow surfers Big James and Mike T

Old Man Duke (song)

Image
Old Man Duke I hail from where the mountains reach the sea And sitting on top of one i'm happy as can be When I hear the bells down below its time for school If I could I would I'd stay here with you all day duke But I've got to be a moving on Duke don't you know The school kids wont let me play there same old games... damn Don't really care  what they're saying Just as long as you Duke why don't you show me the way Riding back we're running through all the tall grass Down country lanes through the road inside my brain and my heart But if today marked the end of time that would be just alright But it's getting dark we gotta make it home now Duke Oh old man Duke You are  The dog  of mine Don't really care  What they're saying No I dont Just as long as you Duke why don't you show me the way I said that i don't really I don't really  I don't really  gonna I wanna say to you O

The Wisest Disaster (poem)

Image
The Wisest Disaster Venom in my veins  Breaking down in my gut The toxins have entered the bloodstream The itch inside my head says all in all your still dead Poison of knowledge keeping the day from the night Why do you want to suffer Why do you ask for a halt Cessation of emotion Bleakness is your light Yet the wisest of disasters stays hidden from the sun Moving farther and farther towards a plane where everything is two sizes too small Look around for here there is no ground Wave goodbye as you move deeper behind the sun

Maybe We Could Be Real (poem)

Image
Maybe We Could Be Real   Laying here I can't tell if time is passing At least for once it feels this way I can heed to the moment and you can embellish the world You see there is life in this painting  It is made out of little things flowing through the air As is a feather in the wind blown over a river filled with summer rain I know neither the rose nor the thorn  Yet she pulls me in Head under water is this where I die? Well that would be alright We supine to the world If only you hadn't been here long before Perhaps we wouldn't need a perfect illusion Maybe we would be real Picture taken at asilomar July 30th 2015  Everett Millete pictured left and Yvan pictured right written about fleeting dreams and heavenly things

Bandroom (poem)

The Bandroom Sunlight peaking through the insulation Scattering fading rays over the roof The room is breathing swaying to and fro Can't you hear the tin foil dangling from the walls Draped in mats Tape hung from the overhead patches of foam down to the beds head We've been given a place to be Slightly below sea level Now colors fade faster But the criss-cross pattern of the foam still sticks out at us To get here you descend Just a couple steps of stone In a flashing stride It might take time To accept what you are given You see the end is always the start Arrival is Expedition Just the glowing rays from the jewell box sun to talk too Until new winds blow the way clear We sit and wait for that day

Confluence (poem)

Image
Confluence With a meeting of eyes two worlds become one From the top of a tower there is no need to run "Let down these walls You have built them so high" With a word and a token An entrance she will find A human so sweet so tender so kind To turn her away this choice is not mine She enters discreetly she knows who you are She is asking for your love she comes from afar Your name will be sung on the mountains of earth The forests they flourish with familiar worth She gives you her love to her you give too Through the changing of seasons this love only grew In life newfound meaning you know she's the one whos uncovering your life's fabric these threads come undone With nothing to cover you hold her so tight With the touch of our lips I feel I just might Stay here forever, wont you stay too? We kiss one last time I bid her adieu

Days Full Of Haze (poem)

Image
Days Full Of Haze The forest is dark Days full of haze Windy in springtime Still cold in mid-May In here lurks odd creatures Inhabitants of the night Many lost are among them A fog without movement or time Though painless, oblique A soft roaring of oceans is heard here despite written 5/5/17 In the Del Monte woods below highway 68 photo taken at the site of creation
